2. Plan (under study)　
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) plans to provide equipment for weather observation around the islands of Samoa, as well as carry out technical assistance in order to enhance capability of disaster management of the government and people of Samoa.
-Automatic Weather Station Network
-GTS Message Switch
-Early Warning System
-Awareness Raising Activities

3. Objective　
The programme aims to improve capacity for the meteorological observations, weather forecasting and early warning to tackle meteorological disasters including cyclones and tsunamis.
Schedule　
After making agreement with the Government of Samoa, JICA plans to start the project in the middle of 2010 and will extend for 3 years.
