Focus Question: What were the arguments for and against a Bill of Rights being added to the Constitution? HW: Using the Bill of Rights Explanation and Opinion Template on p. 66, write two paragraphs explaining the Federalist and Anti-Federalist positions on the Bill of Rights, as well as your own opinion. Post your paragraphs on google classroom.

Explain your answer as fully as possible.

Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists
Constitutional Convention: many debates about how strong the government should be. One big debate: Should a Bill of Rights be added to the Constitution? Federalists (supported a strong government) said no Bill of Rights was needed Anti-Federalists (opposed a strong central government) demanded that a Bill of Rights be added to the Constitution.

Homework Where do you stand in the Federalist / Anti-Federalist Debate? Paragraph #1 Explain the argument of the side with which you agree (Fed or Anti-Fed) and then why you agree with it. Paragraph #2 Explain the argument of the side (Fed or Anti-Fed) you disagree with, then why you disagree with it. ICE documents from both sides in your response. Use the template in your handbook for assistance if needed.
