SENIORS Seniors, if you have been accepted to a college and would like to be on the board in School Counseling, please stop to let us know. Those of you who were accepted to Tunxis yesterday; please let us know if you would like to be on the board. We will post this board outside of the gym at Graduation. 4/10/18

JUNIORS American Legion Boys and Girls State are a week long exercise in mock government held on a college campus for a week in late June. The program is for outstanding high school juniors from across the state. Any junior boy or girl interested in attending Boys State or Girls State this June should see Mr. Greenleaf for an application in Room 124 before you leave for the April break. (4/13/18)

STAFF AND STUDENTS Congratulations to all those who participated in the Academic Bowl Challenge this past weekend. Monica Woolley won first place in instrumental music and Jon Rindfleisch took first in the 2D art competition. The BC Quiz Bowl team of Stephen Pittman, Zoe Sinclair, Nick Osuch and Zaheer Turtem finsihed a very strong second. Poets Mersadez Chaleman and Zaheer Turtem and public speaking contestant Logan Williams also represented BC well. (4/10/18)

STAFF & STUDENTS BC QUIZ BOWL
The first round results of the BC Quiz Bowl are in. The highest score was recorded by Jonathan Lukasiewicz who answered 28 out of 30 questions correctly. Other top scorers were Desmond DeVille with 26 and Stephen Pittman and Dominic Amara with 25. Alex Balfour, Ben Jabs, Nick Osuch, Dante Prado, and Sebastian Kania each had 24. Mrs. Landro was the top scoring teacher with a perfect score of 30 out of 30. Mr. Platt and Mr. Brewer were very close behind and rounded out the top three teachers. Sixteen Advisory groups have qualified for the next round which will be held on Apr Any individual who scored 20 or higher will also advance to the next round. 4/10/18 BC QUIZ BOWL

Unified Sports Track and field starts on Wednesday April 25th. Come to Room 5 for info! 4/24/18

Students Students interested in the medical field; There will be a field trip to Bristol Hospital on May 2nd for a career fair. Students will have the opportunity to walk around talk to hospital employees about the different careers in the medical field. The trip is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. If you are interested in attending see Mrs. Machol in Guidance to sign up. There are only 20 spots, so sign up soon. (4/23/18)

SCHOOL COUNSELING Careers in Banking MAY 4th
Bristol Central’s School Counseling Dept will be holding a Careers in Banking Presentation on Friday, May 4th. This presentation is for students who would like to learn about the wide variety of positions in the banking field and the range of education needed for each. You can sign-up with Mr. Mirmina in the School Counseling Office. 5/4/18

STUDENTS BLOOD DRIVE APRIL 9, 2018 GYMNASIUM
