Each student will create a ’poster' on the paper provide to show a significant change in one of the areas of technology in the list below.
The poster must include the following:
Border, title, 2 illustrations (then /now) supporting text
You may use pictures from magazines, the internet, or draw your own!
Be sure to explain how the change in technology has improved our way of life and any downside it might also have for the world.
Areas of to choose from:
Communication Transportation Medicine Sports
Industry Science Entertainment

4. Writing activity: Read pages 210-211.
In a ½ -1 page report explain what genetic engineering is and your opinion of the ethics involved.
Use question #4 “Analyzing the Issue” on p.212 to help you.
Remember to back up what you say with clear information presented in clear sentences…you are writing a paragraph or 2.

Design a plan for one of the following:

Transportation of the future
Industry of the future
Label your plan as necessary or write an explanation on the back.

1. Look through the chapter to answer the following questions:
A) How has the technology of transportation and communication changed in our region?
B) How are these changes affecting Atlantic Canada?
Introduce your answers properly and list your examples…these are not meant to be long written out answers.

You will work with a partner or on your own to complete the chart. We will go over it together in class to ensure you have covered the key information.

Create a chart to show the major issues affecting business today.
