Alameda textile factory (ALTEX) is one of the nongovernmental entities that were situated seven kilo meters from center of Adwa or seventeen kilo meters from center of Axum at main road Adwa to Axum & 1000kilometer from Addis Ababa & 233 kilometer from Mekelle capital of Tigray region. Alameda Textile PLC (privet limited company) is located amidst the beautiful mountains. Background of Almeda Textile
4
The Company is established to accomplish the following business objectives To produce threads yarns and all kinds of cloths from, polyester and cotton and polyester Mix at any rate To produce clothing materials for personnel and house hold uses. Objective
5
The mission originates from the total customer satisfaction for excellence in the Textile field in Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular besides importing. Training and skills. For the human resource development of the inhabitants so much required. Vission Become a best reference and leading Textile and Garmenting industry and creating a HUB part. Excellence in the textile and garment fields in Africa in general & in Ethiopia in particular. mission

how to use the company access such as service, working time and other materials. The reason influences me to inter the company are b/c of I went to now I was studding theoretically how it can practically. Overall internship experience
10
Almeda textile factory uses two electrical power sources; main line (Ethiopian electric power corporation) and distribution generator. The power from EEPCO comes from “Sassoon” power station rated with 15kv and stepped down by step-down transformer to 380/220 v at controlled frequency of 50 Hz. Electrical power Almeda Textile
11
The factory uses both overhead and underground power transmission. Generation, transmission and distribution systems are the main components of an electric power system. Generating stations and distribution systems are connected through transmission lines. Normally transmission line implies the bulk transfer of power by high voltage links between main load centers ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION
12
On the other hand, distribution system is mainly responsible for the conveyance of this power to the consumers by means of lower voltage networks. Electric power is generated in the range of 15kv, which is increased by step-up transformers to the main transmission voltage. At sub-stations, the connections between various components are made. The electrical network of almeda textile operates at 15kv.
13
Transformer is an electrical device that used to step up and down electrical voltages to the needed quantity. There are different types of transformers in the company. Some of these are autotransformer, distribution transformer, power transformer, voltage and current transformer. Transformers
14
Motors are electromechanical device that converts electrical energy to mechanical energy. AC motors are capable of converting an AC electric energy to mechanical energy which drives mechanical loads. DC motors are so common electrical machines even where DC power system themselves are fairly rare. Ac and dc Motors
15
In spinning, weaving and finishing departments, the electronic machines are taking the leading position in the manufacturing process. Electrical circuits perform operations like power supply, lighting, loading system control, train and elevation control, and overload protection. Industrial electronics
16
Types of Sensors: Some commonly used sensors in the factory along with their principle and applications are explained as follows: TemperatA sensor is a device that receives a stimulus and responds an electrical signal. ure Sensors This device collects information about temperature from a source and converts into a form that is understandable by other device or person. SENSORS
17
. Motion-sensor: They are commonly used for photoelectric controls and proximity controls. Limit switches :are the most versatile devices in terms of motion detection. Inverters:Use of inverters in uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) allows energy to be stored as DC in batteries and used as AC when needed. CONVERTERS :

In my internship period I have been facing a lot of challenges. the main one was the workers are not well educated to teach me practically. I have learned theoretically. Lack of computer service Lack of pocket money challenges I have been facing
19
I have gained some good experience during the four- month internship period. This internship helped me to gain knowledge of organizational structure, working processes in industries and how to behave in a company. Overall benefit gained Fromtheinternship
20
The field practice has played a tremendous role in equipping, students with the practical knowledge of understanding and implementing field exercises in electrical and computer engineering. This internship experience whatever helps me to develop my theoretical knowledge it has also challenges that faced me to problem in advancing my practical knowledge and having these challenges I have developed the measurement to continue this practical experience. Conclusion
21
The Universities and the company are providing good opportunities for students in this internship program. But in both side there is problem. So I would like to recommend both of them to do better. Recommendation
