Extending Your Mac's Battery Run-Time: Making the best run-time from your MacBook battery, there should be good shaped and calibrated battery. Calibration is the procedure that makes your Mac battery’s internal processor able to the estimation that keeping a charge on the battery and predict once the current charge will be used up. In case the calibration is off, then the MacBook will prompt that either it’s time to shut or there is still a good deal of life left in the battery, or worse. For this, you need to keep your MacBook’s battery calibrated; starting with the day you receive your MacBook. It is also suggested that calibrate your battery every month on the regular basis. To extend the battery life of your MacBook you can also follow the tips mentioned below-

MacBook is enriched with many built-in services like Airport and Bluetooth that can be turned off in case you not using them. While you are not using Airport or Wi-Fi on your MacBook you can easily disable the features. This will prevent your MacBook from continually scanning for active wireless networks, or making automatic connections to a network. Moreover you can save power by turning Wi-Fi off. Turn off Unused Services:

Open “System Preferences” Choose the Network Preferences Pane Then in the Network Preferences Pane, you need to choose the Wi-Fi item in the list of network services. Further click the “Turn Wi-Fi Off” or “Airport” button. Here, you need to perform the steps to disable the Airport and Wi-Fi:
