FY 2012 Budget Typical GSA budget request for new construction usually around $1.7B In FY2012, GSA requested $840M for all capital projects, with LPOEs accounting for $370M. Draft Senate Bill (S1573) has Only $65M allocated for new construction. Draft House Bill (HR2434) has $0 allocated for new construction.

Other Projects Fort Kent, ME & Calais-Milltown, ME GSA will make modifications to the lanes & canopies to accommodate the alignment of the new bridge from St. Clair, NB. Completion by October 2013 GSA awarded a contract this September to replace the Calais Milltown, ME facility Completion by late 2012

Whats Next? A return to a maximum annual investment of $150 M? A continued emphasis on small cost, quick fixes. An FY2013 program that emphasizes quick fixes? Alternative financing – Most likely Public Private Partnerships - Hopefully
