One of the top GOOGLE searches I found was the website I posted below. The article is written by a family physician and a postgraduate associate dean working in the UK. Dr. Kumar describes beliefs as being spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, economic and political. He then goes on to explain that values are global, abstract principles that serve as guiding principles in people's lives. Examples of these values can be freedom, competitiveness, wisdom, honesty, and equality just to name a couple. Dr. Kumar then goes on to explain that beliefs can be broken down into 3 categories. These categories include: cognitive, affective, and behavioral. Cognitive refers to what we believe. Affective refers to our feelings. And, behavioral refers to learned associations. Value - One value I have is honesty. I know of some people I used to take classes with that would use their books while completing the test. It only hurts you so I would rather study and try and get the best grade I can. Belief - One belief I have is that by receiving an "A" grade in a class, I have translated the course materials to the best of my ability. Behavioral - I always do my assignments on the same day every week. This ensures that I wont fall behind and then allows me to allot time. Kumar, M. (2010, December 19).
