Current Plans and Efforts to Help Veterans/Spouse to Prepare for Pathways Into Cyber Jobs
USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore (USO-Metro) offers transitional education programs for service members within 12 months of separating from active duty service, as well as for active duty military spouses. We currently offer Cisco Certified Network Associate in Routing and Switching (CCNA), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) - Designed for those interested in a career in cyber security this is a comprehensive course teaching information systems security. CISSP prepares transitioning service member or active duty spouse to take the CISSP certification exam.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is designed for entry level network engineers this program teaches the ability to install, configure, operate and trouble shoot routed and switched networks
We also host quarterly networking dinners with employers to help make connections for employment opportunities.

Our transitional education programs provide the educational component to bridge the gap between military knowledge and experience with civilian sector terminology. Program graduates are prepared to take the nationally recognized certification exam, making them more marketable in the civilian sector.

90% of accepted applicants complete the CISSP and CCNA programs
