Story Telling w a Book Have the kids act out actions in the book.
Example 1: Book Says: The Chicken walks to the house. Physical Activity: Have the kids walk in place for 6 seconds. Example 2: Book Says: Sam picked an apple out of the tree. Physical Activity: Have the kids act out picking apples out of the tree.

Add a Movement to a Word or Object in the Book. Example 1: Every time you hear the word “Tomato” you do 3 Jumping Jacks. Every time you hear “Hungry” you rub your tummy. Example 2: Every time a fruit is mentioned you touch your toes 5 times. Every time a veggie is mentioned you do 5 arm circles.

Add a Movement to the Page Turning. Example 1: Every time the page turns you do 5 Windmills. Example 2: Every time the page turns you stand up and sit down.

Add a Movement to an object in the Picture. Example 1: Every time you see an Apple on the page Reach to the Sky 5 times. Example 2: Every time you see the Alligator on the page Chop your hands 5 times.
