The Flag of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is rectangular in shape and consists of five alternating horizontal stripes.
It also includes three red and two white stripes, and a triangle with a five-pointed white star in the center based.

The official bird of Puerto Rico is the Spindalis. The species is widely distributed throughout the island and is an important part of the environment.

Puerto Rico's national flower is the flor de maga. The Maga is a saucer size flower and grows on a large tree.
