1 Teacher Directions Print slides 2-12 in full size format onto cardstock. Laminate boards. Use Slide #2 to read the definition clues. Add a number to each clue as you read it to check for correctness at the end of each game. Wipe clue board clean after each game to mix up the order that the clues are presented. Student boards provide directions for students to write the clue number into the correct block. Five correct clues in a row is a winning card. Students should yell out “BINGO” or “GEOGRAPHY” when they complete a winning card.

Relative Location – a place in relation to others Place – description of a location Movement – theme tracking people, goods, ideas Region – areas with commonalities Human-Environment Interaction – how humans use earth Globe – truest representation of the earth Map – flat representation of the earth Physical Map – provides land and other features of the earth Political Map – shows human-drawn divisions on the earth Compass Rose – shows the cardinal directions Legend (Key) – list or explanation of symbols Latitude – lines parallel to equator Longitude – lines parallel to Prime Meridian Scale – ratio measurements on a map Cartography - mapmaking Equator – the imaginary line the divides the earth north and south Prime Meridian – main line of longiture Hemisphere – divisions of the earth, north, south, east, west Peter’s Projection – most accurate earth projection Mercator Projection – most familiar earth projection Map Title – identifies the subject of the map Map Symbols – icons to represent items covered on map Thematic Map – map that covers a specific topic This is the key. Laminate this sheet to be able to write the clue numbers as you read them aloud to the class. Erase to begin new game, mixing up the order in which you present the terms.
