2 Mathematics is a developing science made up of several branches, including arithmetic , geometry, and algebra. It is a science that studies quantity, shape_, and arrangement.

3 Algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses symbols to represent unknown numbers or quantities.

4 A term is An expression formed from the product of numbers and/or variables e.g.) 9x is a term (coefficient and variable) e.g.) 5 is a term (constant)

5 A polynomial is an algebraic expression made up of terms connected by the operations of addition or subtraction. e.g.) 3x2 - 4
