Degree of a term or monomial – the sum of the exponents of its variables
Degree of a Polynomial – the greatest exponent of its terms.

Is in descending order of the exponents with the constant last.

When you add or subtract polynomials, add/subtract the coefficients of like terms.
Reminder: Like terms means same variable/s with same exponents.
