Moral Panic leading to anxiety amongst general population due to fear of migrants or refugees taking jobs Abuse of welfare support and fear or terrorism Poor implementation of multiculism governmental policies has led to moral panic The overall social impact of immigration upon Australian society has been extremely positive . Infact it would be fair to say we could not imagine an Australia without a society that didn’t include some sort of multiculturalism . This can be seen through the intermarriage between individuals of cultural backgrounds. This has also broadened our young history and made Australia such a unique country. However, with the positive influence of multiculturalism there has also been a backlash or a consequence of this.
