A new Material Group and Material Type define Engineering Die (eDie) in SAP. As new products are developed, and projects & schedules are created to use those new products, the new eDie product structure will be a “container” for that information, and will provide visibility to all teams that may be impacted by a change in the product/design or the schedule.

Created/Loaded eBOM’s in SAP (PR1)
A new Material Group and Material Type define Engineering BOM (eBOM) in SAP. eDie are built onto these eBOM’s, and give us the ability to do “impact analysis” scenarios, as well as BOM integrity checks (before MPN creation) that we can’t currently do.
Integration to push eDie from SAP to Teamcenter
New organization/structure in TeamCenter for storing attributes on Product Data. This configuration structure sets the stage for loading TeamCenter with Product Data (with attributes) the next Sprint.
Introductory view of eDie in Teamcenter
The use of these eDie (and eventually eBOM’s) for Micron’s future products will provide the right visibility to S&OP (Planning), Finance, and the design teams. If the eDie schedule or component should slip, it’s an easy process to see who will be impacted.
