Do not call out without permission. When you hear Ms. Burke counting backwards from 3 or see her raising her hand, you will stop talking, face forward, and listen respectfully.

Transitions and Disruptions
You are expected to come to class prepared every day, with all materials. If you need materials, quietly check the materials section in the front of the room. Do not disturb other students for materials during work or lecture time. Treat materials with respect. When the class is transitioning from one activity to the next, listen to instructions and be prepared to move quickly. When turning in class work always pass papers to the front with your paper on top. Papers will be collected at the front of the row. Homework, quizzes, and tests are turned in to the labeled bins in the front of class. NO CELLPHONES ALLOWED UNLESS MRS. BURKE HAS GIVEN YOU SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS TO TAKE THEM OUT!
10
Tardy Procedures If you are late to class, you will enter quietly without disrupting others. Place your late pass on Mrs. Burke’s desk and quickly find your seat. Start your work promptly. At the end of class, you may ask another student what you missed. Do not ask Mrs. Burke until you have asked 3 other students.
11
Absent Procedures Places to check for what you missed: your Google Classroom page, Mrs. Burke’s Website, Remind.com messages, the Agenda Board. Check your Google Classroom page, Mrs. Burke’s website, or the polka-dot bin on the front table for papers you have missed. After class, ask a fellow student to explain what you missed and for a copy of the notes. Do not ask Ms. Burke until you have asked 3 other students. Or come in for office hours to get caught up. The amount of time you have to make up work is determined by district policy, and posted in the syllabus. This policy will be strictly adhered to for all normal homework and classwork. Tests and assessments may be dealt with differently on an individual basis.
12
Nurse visits, restroom, and drink breaks
