Definition A Chromosome is an organized structure of DNA and protein that is found in cells. It is a single piece of coiled DNA containing many genes, regulatory elements and other nucleotide sequences.

X & Y Chromosomes X chromosomes makes up 5% of total DNA in Females and 2.5% in males. Y chromosomes makes up about 2% in males, females do not have a Y chromosomes
