Do students really learn anything in summer school? Mrs. Mackey’s student’s learned many things. Over the course of second session of English 9, I learned many things from Mrs. Mackey. We covered a range of topics from grammar to literary criticism to mythology. In the second session of English 9, I learned how to analyze a text using the Historical/Biographical approach, about the rhetorical appeals (ethos, logos, pathos), and what literary devices can be found in poetry.
