What We do PTA provides FREE family programs, supports the teachers & staff, promotes literacy, academics, and student well-being, all while making school more fun with various spirit events. Some programs include; Reading night, Stem night, Moms & Muffins, Talent Show, Daddy Daughter dance and many more… In addition to the events & programs PTA sponsors, PTA provides school & classroom funding that supports ALL our children. We also provide volunteers opportunities for classrooms and school events, along with our PTA sponsored events. Our goal is to work with the teacher and administration to make the learning experience for our children the best it can possibly be.
5
PTA Meetings Our monthly board meetings will be held on the first Wed. of each month at 9 am (unless otherwise specified.) We have an open-board policy and welcome everyone! There are still volunteer opportunities for parents who are unable to attend the board meetings. EVENING MEETINGS! As a direct result of our PTA survey sent out last year, we are going to be incorporating more evening PTA general meetings throughout the year. PTA and School Through our survey, we saw some confusion on what our PTA controls verses what the school controls. We wanted to bring some clarity. Classroom Time for Parents, PTA does NOT control. After school programs, PTA does NOT control. Events being held by the school or outside partners, PTA does NOT control. Holiday or grade level programs/plays/shows, PTA does NOT control. Personal teachers problems, PTA does not control. PTA DOES create volunteer opportunities in the school. PTA DOES have programs and events throughout the year for families to attend and volunteers to participate. PTA DOES welcome help and ideas from everyone. Please join us!
