1 Letter To Self

2 Who Are You? How would you introduce yourself to your teacher?
Think about all the things you would like your teacher to know about you that would help you in school. We would like you to write a letter telling us all about yourself.

3 A Letter To Self We want you to write us a letter, all about YOU
This letter will be kept between you and your form tutor and other staff who could help you – it will NOT be shared with other pupils It’s important – be honest and take it seriously: you’ll be coming back to it at the end of the year

4 What Should Be In My Letter?
You should write a truthful, honest, letter about the good and bad things in your life I like… I am… I wish my form tutor knew… The thing that makes me happy is… The best thing in life is… I am really good at… I feel safe when… The best thing that ever happened to me was… One thing I like about me is… When I grow up… If I could have one wish it would be… I don’t like… One thing that makes me mad is… One thing that makes me sad is… One thing that makes me scared is… I sometimes need help with… The worst thing that ever happened to me is… One thing I don’t like about me is… One thing I’d change about my life is…

5 My Letter Hello, my name is James. I like football but I don’t like swimming. I am 11 years old and live with my mum and my older brother, John. I wish I was older, then John wouldn’t pick on me so much. I wish my form tutor knew that some of the boys keep calling me names at break time, it makes me very sad and sometimes I cry at night because I don’t want to come to school. I am scared that mum will get ill and die because my dad doesn’t live with us any more. I like English and History best, I don’t like PE and Maths. Sometimes I need help with not getting distracted in class and sometimes I feel nervous around large groups of people. I am really good at spelling but sometimes I don’t understand the maths problems and am scared to ask for help in case the others think I’m stupid and tease me. The worst thing that ever happened to me was when my parents split up and my dad moved away. We still see him on some weekends but I miss him a lot. I wish I were cleverer like some of the other boys. When I grow up I want to be a policeman and help people.
