Seeds Seed coat: skin of the seed
Embryo: found inside the seed. Tee seed has stored food and water that keeps the embryo alive until it can sprout and produce its own food. Cotyledons: storage unit for the seed

Cotyledons Some angiosperm seeds have only one cotyledon.
One cotyledon is called a monocot. (Mono means one) Corn is an example of a Monocot.

Cotyledons Some angiosperm seeds have two cotyledons.
Seed with 2 cotyledons are called a dicots. Beans, roses and oak trees are examples of a Dicots.
