Develop stronger links within European regions between local and regional government, universities and the business community
Achieve closer alignment between future research and innovation and the transport and urban mobility needs of cities and regions
Promote co-operation, knowledge exchange and partnership between European regional triple-helix clusters with a specific interest in transport, health and environment-related fields (Regional Special Interest Groups - RSIGs)

Facilitate the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Downstream Space Data Products and Services to develop innovative new solutions to address six societal challenges identified in THE ISSUE’s Joint Action Plan
Sustain THE ISSUE Network by establishing a European platform for innovation in traffic, health and environmental-related fields, based on co-operation, knowledge exchange and partnership (European Special Interest Group - ESIG)

3 year project – 2 reporting periods: Grant Claims at 18 months and 36 months
