Our Services… Emotional Support – to help victims deal with the personal effects of crime. Face to face visits (Home, Outreach Sites, Offices) & Telephone Support Talking Listen & allowing Victims to tell their stories Reflect Positively challenging Guilt and Self-Blame Identifying, affirming, encouraging peoples capacity to cope Demonstrating respect and a non-judgmental approach

Our Services… Information – to help victims and witnesses make better informed choices after a crime, particularly in relation to their rights/entitlements. Sign-post Provide information of other agencies Case update Generic information of the criminal justice process and their case Giving information consistently and in manageable chunks

Our Services… Advocacy – Liaise with other agencies to provide a holistic service and to ensure all needs are met, specialist support is accessed and the best outcomes are achieved. Individual & Collective Advocacy Police Housing Social Services Writing supporting letters

Our Services… Practical Support – Assisting with Criminal Injuries Compensation, providing personal alarms, commissioning Services, safety planning (IDVA). Home security Transport Food Vouchers/ Food Banks Interpreting services (if available) B&B, Hotels (depending on eligibility) Counselling (depending on eligibility)

Report Crime to police Say ‘”Yes” to wanting support from Victim Support Police data transferred from CRIS to Victim Support via Automated Data transfer (ADT) Other Agencies Housing Services Education Institutes Social Services Other organizations Self-Referral Call Victim Support directly, no need to report it to the police
