2 First-Year Seminar Mission Statement The transition program strives to provide academic opportunities and preparation for the success of all first-year students.

3 First-Year Seminar Goal Statements 1.To give students the basic skills to succeed academically 2.To give students the opportunity to develop higher-level thinking and decision-making abilities 3.To increase the number of students staying in school until graduation 4.To increase the number of students participating in more rigorous academic courses
