At Motiv we make electric trucks. More specifically, we make the Motiv Electric Truck Platform so that the existing truck manufacturing, sales, and service ecosystem can turn dirty, noisy, expensive trucks into clean, efficient, green trucks. The change to electric cars is obvious and now inevitable, and Motiv is the company to have figured out the technology and process to take that radical change to the $300 Billion truck market. The Motiv Electric Truck Platform consists of Motiv’s controllers and their software, paired up with batteries, motors, accessories, cables and brackets into a kit that is installed on a standard OEM chassis – like this Ford F59 shown here. The resulting Ford chassis is now 100% electric, and can be used in many of the same applications as its fossil fuel counterpart. The user then gets the exact truck they want in their with the incredible benefits of it being electric. Power Control Unit – Intelligently manages all other power electronics including batteries and controllers Traction Motor – 240HP. No transmission, direct drive. Adaptive Power Converters –DC-DC converters convert voltages between battery, DC link, inverter for optimal performance. 1 per battery + 1 for accessories power supply. Motiv Charger – Capability to do 50kW! Currently utilizing 25kW charging station.

Case Study: Mountain View/Google Buses
As further evidence that our strategy is working, currently every commercially-available electric truck model today uses the Motiv Electric Truck Platform. Here are six Motiv-powered trucks and buses built by different vehicle builders who all specialize in one vehicle vocation. All of these vehicles use the same Motiv technology “under the hood”. During the new vehicle’s manufacture, Motiv’s all-electric powertrain replaces the fossil fuel engine, transmission, fuel and exhaust systems to make these vehicles zero-emission electric versions of their fossil fuel relatives.
