UConn Early College Experience (est. 1955)
UConn Early College Experience (ECE) is the oldest concurrent enrollment program in the Nation, celebrating 63 years of community engagement. UConn ECE allows motivated high school students to take UConn courses at their high schools for both high school and college credit. Every course taken through UConn ECE is equivalent to the same course at the University of Connecticut.

Students Receive highly transferable college credit
An understanding of college course requirements Access to all University of Connecticut library resources Competitive edge in the college admissions process Flexibility with course schedule when in college Scholarship opportunities as seniors Save time & money Student are able to start their college career while still in HS and receive highly transferable college credit. A study was done by the research and development team on Concurrent enrollment transfer which found UConn ECE credits transfer 87% of the time. Students will transition from high school to college knowing they are prepared for the academic work that lies ahead. They can recognize a college syllabus and know the academic requirements of a college course. Students will receive an official UConn transcript which will make them a competitive applicant during the admissions process. Save time! Attending college with credits allows students the opportunity to study abroad, do an internship, community service, or double major. Some students may even have the opportunity to graduate in 3 years depending on the number of ECE credits earned while still in HS. Mention AP Courses
