3 Meet Mrs. Moore Two children, Ben (8) and Nicholas (4).
Live in Macomb Township. Love to read, and have time with my family. Graduated from Oakland University Masters Degree from Oakland University in Reading and Language Arts. Teaching in Rochester Schools for 9 years.

4 Morning Routine / Morning Meeting
Bell rings at 8:09… learning starts right away!! Lunch count / announcements Morning meeting starts at 8:25 to build teamwork and review behavior and curricular information

5 Daily Reading Starts with a short mini-lesson to demonstrate a strategy Students spend time reading to self, reading with someone, listening to reading, and working with words Concluded with a share or review of the skill that was taught

6 Word Study 10 spelling words every two weeks, 6 core words and 4 phonics words supporting a target skill Phonics study supporting weekly words

7 Math Workshop Everyday Mathematics Math boxes review skills
Mini-lesson / concept overview 4 math centers “Home Links” sent home daily for homework

8 Math Reference Book Everyday Mathematics At home reference book

Students write independently Independent conferences and/or small strategy groups Concluded with review

14 Homework Read a “just right” book each day, initial reading log
Math “Home Link” each day Spelling words / phonics practice (weekly) It is important that homework be completed with assistance

15 Daily Folders Comes home every day Important school notes
Completed morning work Daily work Please return to school everyday.

16 Classroom Management Class can earn marbles for whole class celebration Students will be recognized for good effort with Hawk Horrays! Marbles on desks for reminders
