GAME CLOCK RULES Rule 12, Section 3, Article 6 (b) allows for replay to adjust game clock during review. Rule 12, Section 3, Article 6 (c) allows for replay to review game clock at end of a period. If there is a significant mistake related to the game clock replay can fix regardless of review.
2
END OF PERIOD Time expires and there is IVE that time remained when ball was dead replay can adjust. In 2nd and 4th quarters the next play must be from scrimmage. In 4th quarter the score is tied or the team to next put ball in play trails by eight or fewer points. Evidence includes an official’s timeout signal. Replay can put any amount of time back on the clock.
3
10-SECOND RUNOFF Replay decision creates runoff inside one minute of either half (incomplete IFP or ING). Offended team can decline runoff. Fouling team can use remaining TO to avoid runoff. Inside one minute of either half ruling on the field stops game clock, and replay review results in running clock. Runoff applies if game clock is inside one minute when ball should have been ruled dead. Either team can use timeout to avoid runoff.

APPLICATION Time runs off game clock due to incorrect ruling on the field, replay will restore it. To put time back on the clock the ruling in replay must create a stopped clock. Stop and wind Stop and snap Game clock reset to where the play should have ended (ball hit ground, runner OB, etc.) Clock will start on snap or ready depending on result of review and time remaining in game.
