Several calls and an all-day meeting in Chicago, August 15th Focus Do more between meetings Increase nursing involvement Take a leadership role Expand our impact Who are we? We are an infusion pump group focused on patient safety and quality “Where technology, practice, and interdisciplinary teams meet” Vendor involvement necessary Met in Chicago 8/15 Based on feedback from April conference, defined our focus Do more between meetings – (keep the momentum coming out of conferences) Increase nursing involvement - (design of DLL must align with practice at the pump) Take a leadership role – (leverage our collective knowledge) Expand our impact – (more members/hospitals, publications and conference presentations) Defined who we are A pump group (REMEDI will have other medical devices and possibly other communities) We agreed that we need vendors (You’ve already seen/heard they’re on the WebEx)

Projects Standardization of drug limits (Julie) Start with propofol and vasopressin Leveraging literature and REMEDI data to recommend hard and soft limits Lather, rinse, repeat for other medications until we have “start library” Education & Competency Assessment (Scott) Start with survey of REMEDI membership Solution Resource (Kristy) Identify and provide solutions/processes for common problems that can be answered using REMEDI Longitudinal Residency Rotation (Dan) Resident rotation through RCHE Prioritized project list generated as a result of April conference comments, suggestions, and ideas Project Leader in parentheses Standardization (knowledge of the collaborative, leadership role, and impact) Education & Competency Assessment (learn from the nurses) Solution Resource (How can REMEDI answer your questions? How can we make it easier for you?) Residency Rotation (Opportunity to focus on the REMEDI collaborative. Objectives TBD )

Administration Activities Onboarding of new members responsibility moving to REMEDI Community Draft completed of new workflow Add list of ideas for residency projects Survey to gather ideas Increase nursing membership Discussion with Infusion Nurse Society Publish list of REMEDI conference speakers with links to presentations Ready for implementation Onboarding (Clinician-to-clinician is important) Residency projects (A “pick list” so you can go to the list to find ideas for your residents) (Get posters/PPT back if possible) Nursing (Mary Alexander of the Infusion Nurse Society lined up to help) List of presentations (Make it easier to find information; again, leverage the value of the community)
