Problem solving strategies are embedded into each of the five domains.

4. Reading Workshop Mini lesson is 15 minutes long
Students read at school 25 minutes daily and complete daily reading job.
Read minutes at home each night;. They should log in their agenda, and parents should initial daily.
Students work in small groups to master
specific skills.
Students will be choosing just right books.

Study geography and history of North Carolina
Technology in the lives of North Carolinians
Government and citizenship
Culture and diversity of North Carolina
The Social Studies standards will be met by using teacher created activities & non-fiction texts which will meet NC Standards
Current event article and questions due monthly. 9

Taught using FOSS kits and supplemental materials; kits are rotated throughout the team
