First of all we had to make a comfortable seating area. Then we collected dry sticks to make the fire.
3
Once we had organised the seating, we learnt how to move safely around the fire
4
Mr Nicholson showed us how to stack small dry sticks so that the air could circulate.
5
We all practised creating sparks to light a fire, using flint and a piece of metal.
6
It took a long time, but we got the fire going. Then we toasted marshmallows
7
Then we sat in our circle and used exciting language to describe what we could see.
