4 Tutoring Our free tutoring program is certified by CRLA and uses top UNT students as tutors Tutoring is available in a wide variety of formats: Online One-on-one Drop-in Group We cover 200+ courses

5 Scheduling a Tutoring Session
Visit learningcenter.unt.edu Click on the TUTORING tab Choose the type of tutoring you need Login with your EUID and password and submit a tutor request form or use the drop-down menu to find drop-in times

6 Academic Coaching General academic support from peers
Develop a personalized plan for achieving academic success Tools and resources tailored to you Common topics: Time management Goal setting Study skills Graduate school application

7 Scheduling a Coaching Session
Visit unt.upswing.io Login with your EUID and password In the search bar type “Academic Coaching” Choose your coach and schedule your session!

8 Supplemental Instruction (SI)
SI targets courses that have a 30% DFW rate SI Leaders hold 3 one-hour group study sessions per week On average, students who regularly participate in SI will earn one half to one whole letter grade higher than students who do not participate

9 Finding the SI Schedule
Visit learningcenter.unt.edu Click on the TUTORING tab Choose “Supplemental Instruction” Click SI Leaders Schedule and Session Times

10 Speed Reading This course is designed to increase your reading speed while maintaining comprehension and retention The two-hour class meets once a week for five weeks Groups of eight students meet and utilize specialized software Register in the Learning Center (Sage 170) for $30

11 Learning 101 This workshop series is designed to help develop the skills you need to be successful in college Workshops are 50 minutes and require no registration Topics include: Time Management Note Taking Presentation Skills Test Taking Learning Styles Find the schedule under Academic Support Services on the LC site COMING FALL 2018: CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS & ONLINE CLASS SUCCESS STRATEGIES
