2. Endangered species Act(ESA)
Function: Provides for the conservation of species that are endangered or threatened throughout all or a significant portion of their range, and the conservation of the ecosystems on which they depend. It also caused the organizing and listing of species, in regarded to their endangeredness. Environmental issues affected: This act was formed to protect species from extinction as a "consequence of economic growth and development untempered by adequate concern and conservation." This includes deforestation, overfishing, and the exotic pet trade.

3. Endangered Species Act(ESA)
Regulation:The ESA is administered by two federal agencies, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The NOAA handles marine species, and the FWS has responsibility over freshwater fish and all other species.
