3 Booster Club Main objective – Support the CPHS Lacrosse coaches and team through volunteer activities and fundraising Booster Club Introductions We need your help, both in-season and off, to volunteer and coordinate CPHS Lacrosse Activities

4 Where the Money Goes CPHS Pays the Following For HS Teams:
Transportation Scheduling coordination/fields and games Uniform allowance – Y4 rotation (partial payment) One coach for each team Booster Club Pays For: Coaches for Varsity, JV and B-Squad Uniforms (difference that school does not cover)

5 Where the Money Goes Facility/Equip Expenses/Team Apparel
Equipment bags Nets and replacement webbing Lacrosse balls (lots!), Bow nets, Etc. Player Apparel Pack Shooter shirt, shorts, pinnies, 2 pair game socks Team Jackets (every other year) All Players will get jackets this year Event Expenses Team Building events Other Team Events such as: Senior Night Teacher Night Youth Day

6 Fees CPHS Athletic Registration form and $280 fee must be turned in to HS activity office prior to tryouts. Can also be done online. Booster Club fee of $290 (estimate based on current number of players – this will be finalized in March) $100 for 10 Steak Fry Tickets Uniform/equipment deposit of $100.00 Optional apparel costs Due to optional fundraising opportunities, individual Booster Fee balances will be ed in mid-March; due on March 25th

February bagging raised = $1065 Chipotle Fundraiser on Feb 19th Please promote to family and friends and through Social Media Steak Fry - Sunday April 29th Coupon Book Blitz – Sunday March 25th Donation Letter Writing – Sunday March 25th Super Fan Shirts BWW – Team “L” Laxtoberfest (fall tournament) Heggie’s Pizza – OPTIONAL Golf Cards -- OPTIONAL

8 Heggie’s Pizza Earn $2.50 off your Booster club fee with every pizza sold Sales forms available tonight and will also be ed Bring Sales Forms to Trish Ringler on March 5th 11083 Sprucewood Lane N Champlin Pick up pizzas on Tuesday March 20th at CPHS at 6pm.

9 Golf Cards Receive 5 golf cards tonight for $125.00 ($25.00 each)
Sell cards for $35.00 and keep the $10 profit per card You can get additional cards from Kreg Kapitan or Unsold cards can also be returned to Kreg in late May for a refund

10 Apparel Booster Club provided – Jackets, Shorts, Shirt, Pinnie, Socks
Optional Apparel Hoodie Pants Leggings Conditioning/Compression Shirt Bucket Hat (same as last year) Sizing and ordering will be done at Champlin Athletic – please watch for additional info in regarding dates

11 Volunteer Requirements and Opportunities
Each family is required to do a minimum number of hours in addition to the Steak Fry and Laxtoberfest (Fall Tournament) – number will be determined after final roster is set Steak Fry 2 hour shifts for parents and players – sign up on Dibs Dessert item for bake sale Laxtoberfest – 2 hours Other Opportunities Cub Foods Bagging Heggie’s Pizza pickup Games (Clock, Scorekeeper, field set up) Team Meals (set up and clean up) Year End Banquet Senior Night and Teacher Appreciation Night Youth Day Super Fan Shirts (NEED COORDINATOR) DIBS Volunteer Coordinator (NEED)

13 Player Volunteer Opportunities
All Lacrosse Players invited to join S.A.U.C.E (Student Athletes United in Community Engagement) - A newly recognized service club for CPHS students, created for these goals: Help the local community (’18 Champlin P&R) Team bonding events Build stronger college applications

14 Team Structure (9-12) Grade Boys - MSHSL Team Levels Varsity
Junior Varsity Varsity practices 6 days per week, JV practices 5 days per week.

15 Day In The Life Monday / Wednesday:
Game Day! Most of our weeks have these days as game days. 5:30pm JV, 7:15pm Varsity. Away games first bus leaves roughly at 2:45pm, with the second bus leaving at 4:00pm. Tuesday / Thursday: Study Hall (3:30-4:30pm) Film / Chalk Talk (4:30-5:30pm) Practice (5:30-7:30pm)

16 Day In The Life Friday: Film / Chalk Talk (4:30-5:30pm)
Practice (5:30-7:30pm) Saturday: Optional for all JV players Film / Chalk Talk (9-10 am) Practice (10-12pm)

17 Tryouts April 4/2 - 4/3 We will start with a conditioning test!
Tryouts are used to determine what team each player will play on to start the season We do not cut! Looking for good fundamentals and Lax I.Q.

22 Equipment Guidelines grey, or Navy Blue, not Black.
Helmet - Cascade R or S All Matte Grey - This is Mandatory Chin - Navy Blue Chin Strap - White Facemask - White Gloves Must be primarily white, grey, or Navy Blue, not Black.

23 Equipment Guidelines Sticks
Have 2 that are the same and legal! (Not exactly, but very similar with same style of stringing). Team or neutral colors, preferably white heads. Undergarments All must be WHITE, including undershirts and compression shorts. Team issued shooter shirts will be acceptable for practice attire under practice pinnies, and may warrant a different color to be worn on game days.

24 Equipment Guidelines Undergarments (cont.)
Socks must be Plain White - manufacturer logos are acceptable. Length can be determined by individual. If leggings are to be worn they must be Navy Blue in color and not have any graphics on the legs outside of the manufacturers logo. Shoes / Cleats Black, white, or school colors are acceptable. Cleats should have sufficient ankle support for cutting and planting (no low profile soccer cleats).

25 Off-Season Program 2018 What is this?
This is what we are going to be using as our off- season player development moving forward. When is this? The program will run basically from the end of the High School season all the way until the end of October. Who is this for? This is going to be for all returning players and new incoming 9th graders, and is intended for player and team development.

Reversible Practice / Game Pinnie Practice / Game Shorts (2) Lifting Shirts (2) Shooter Shirts Extras Bus Transportation for out of Town Tournament Several meals provided Hotel room for out of town tournament Training / Events 2-3 Practices per week 2-3 weight room sessions per week HS coaches for the first part of summer, then alumni for remainder into fall Summer League and Fall League registration Start of the North Tournament Great Pumpkin Shootout Tournament LAXtoberfest Tournament One out of State Tournament!

27 Off-Season Program 2018 Cost?
Summer Off-Season Program - $900 per player Optional Out of Town Tournament - $800 per player Tryouts? Will be dependent on player registration and if we have enough for two teams. There are no cuts. Recruiting? This is not a team focused on getting your son getting recruited. If anyone has questions on other summer travel teams please let me know.
