2 Attention Getting Wants someone to notice him/her.
Attention may be positive or negative. Acting as class clown Excessive talking Running in the class Forgetting materials Tugging on the teacher

3 Power Seeking Student may show signs of hostility, aggression, disobedience, or stubbornness. “Come make me” “Don’t touch me” “Send me to the office I don’t care.”

4 Revenge Seeking Student is rude, hurtful, destructive Name calling
Destroy another’s belongings Stealing from teacher or peers Threatening the teacher or other peers

5 Displaying Inadequacy
Students tend to withdraw Feel there is no hope No one cares No one understands Sleeps in class Fails to do homework Does not participate in class discussions. Quit tasks easily Misses school

6 If the student: Stops behavior and then repeats it Refuses to stop or increases misbehaviors Becomes violent or hostile Refuses to cooperate, participate, or interact. The goal is: Attention Power Seeking Revenge Seeking Inadequacy
