3 Scottish Set Text 45 minutes – Be strict!
Go straight to selected text (ignore all others) Identify the extract/poem Read the extract/poem Read and answer the questions.

4 Answering the Questions
Use the number of marks available as a guide to the number of points you should make Use Reading for U, A and E techniques E.g. - 4 mark answer 2 quotes & 2 comments OR 4 separate points depending on question type.

5 Final Question Final question worth 8 marks
You must refer to the short story in front of you and at least ONE other story by Anne Donovan

6 SQA Formula 2 marks for commonality (2 separate points)
2 marks for extract (presented text) -> 1 for quote & 1 for comment 4 marks for references/quotes and comments from elsewhere in the play/from at least one other text.

7 Critical Essay Last pages of exam booklet.
Make sure you answer from the DRAMA section. You only answer ONE question. (It will be either question 1 or question 2.) Consider both questions and choose the one you feel more confident about answering. Above all, it must fit your chosen text.

8 5 Minute Plan Use the first 5 minutes selecting your question and writing as detailed a plan as you possibly can in that time. (Remember the points you include must be relevant to the question.)
