1. GOALS
Assess the current (i.e., A-TREC, data denial expts, etc) state of knowledge of those scientific issues relevant to the concept of a Pacific “field” campaign
Obtain a consensus on whether we should propose a “Pacific” regional campaign and the extent of international participation
If so……
Determine area(s) of focus and what scientific questions can best be addressed by such a campaign
Obtain a general consensus on where and when (NOTE –the long lead time (~3 year) that is now required)
We will not be able to plan the details here. The expt design will be left to a future meeting.
