2 Copyright©2007 Education Service Center Region XIII AEIS Surplus Fund Balance Report As required by AIB (LEGAL), the AEIS report must include a statement of the amount, if any, of the Districts unencumbered surplus fund balance as of the last day of the preceding fiscal year and the percentage of the preceding years budget that the surplus represents As of August 31, 2011, the Districts unencumbered surplus fund balance was $2,314,438 (surplus) $2,314,438 equals 20% of the total operating budget for the preceding school year.
