10 NATIONAL KTP SECRETARIAT
BACKGROUND OF KTP NATIONAL KTP SECRETARIAT KTP recognises a broad range of activities to support mutually beneficial collaborations between universities, industries and communities (government agencies / non-government organisations (NGOs)/public sector). It provides the platform for the exchange of tangible and intangible intellectual property, expertise, learning and skills between academia, industry and the community. The forms of interactions may include, consultancy, education, training, graduate development, conferences, sharing of physical facilities and student placements. Public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) should effectively engage with industry and community towards mutually beneficial initiatives through role played by: Academia: able to incorporate relevant and up to date knowledge from industry and the community into their teaching, learning and consultancy activities. Industry : can utilize the resources of IPTAs to enhance their business capability and economic activities Community: can benefit from the knowledge generated in IPTAs to improve quality of life within the community. Graduate/Postgraduate Intern : enhance their personal and professional development

11 OBJECTIVE OF KTP – PSH / LLL
To provide a platform for lifelong learning that enriches the quality of human capital in terms of knowledge and skills in the IHLs (Graduate Intern) and organization (SME industry and communities) based on the transfer of knowledge and technology in the 6 National Priority Areas (Cyber Security, Energy Security, Environment and Climate Change, Food Security, Medical and Healthcare, Water Security) To recognize and promote the transfer of knowledge via the exchange of creative and innovative ideas, research findings, experiences and skills between UA, industries, government agencies and the wider community. To enable the development and improvement of the quality of products, services and policies to be shared for mutual benefits between the stakeholders i.e. academia, industry, community and the graduate intern.

LIFELONG LEARNING is the "ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated“ pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons. LIFELONG LEARNING is about creating and maintaining a positive attitude to learning both for personal and professional development

13 What is Lifelong Learning ?? National Priority Areas (NPA)
KTP as a Lifelong Learning Agent that improves the quality of human capital in Public Universities (academia and GIs) and organisations (SME, employees, communities, etc). The key is to transfer current knowledge, technology and best practices in six (6) National Priority Areas that includes teaching, learning, training and implementation of new technology in order to deliver the needs and demands of globalisations. 24 CRITERIA OF EVALUATION

25 REMINDER !!!!!!! The expert knowledge must come from the UA itself, well known and implemented effectively - already have evidence about the ability of successfully implemented projects The project shall consist of a group of individuals from academia - all members of the project have their expertise – CONSULTATION FEE NOT APPLY IN THIS APPLICATION. Please identify projects that really worth it, there is a 'track record', has experience managing the project, has an effective module, do not need consultants, academic groups established in terms of knowledge and transfer of knowledge are available to the public. Three (3) things will be evaluated ; a) Output Project - things promised in the implementation of the project, b) Outcome - the results promised, c) Impact - the impact from the outcome.

No supporting document from the commitment partner (outdated document) Financial commitment of industry partner is not stated. Basic Product Marketing Skill Competition is high in the education category. Projects approved based on ranking.
