UMBC PARAMEDIC REFRESHER
WELCOME! Thank you for participating in a UMBC sponsored program.

100% Attendance is REQUIRED
You must be ready to participate in class at each day – YOU are REQUIRED to sign in EACH morning. Sign out sheets will be sent around AT THE END of the class for you to sign out – YOU MUST SIGN OUT EACH AFTERNOON. It is your responsibility to sign in and sign out each day – the attendance sheets are part of your continuing education record.

Coffee & tea will be provided daily.
**We are guests in this building so if there is an item that runs out or is needed, we will be required to ask for it and have no control over timeliness of remedy. Please do not leave trash/garbage laying around the room – please clean up after yourself. Dress in layers – room temperature is not easily controlled. Please feel free to bring a cushion or pillow for your comfort.

CELL PHONES (& electronics)
Please turn off all cell phones/tablets/etc– at the very least phones must be turned to vibrate. *Make or take calls during the breaks only!

VA – must sign a separate roster each day!
Continuing Education FOR NCCP STATES: a total of 60 hours is required in your cycle 30 hours of NCCR for Registry is awarded through CAPCE 2 additional hours you can use towards LCCR or ICCR for Registry is awarded You will need an additional 28 hours to meet the remaining ICCR & LCCR requirements FOR NON NCCP: a total of 72 hours is required in your cycle 32 hours of Section 1 A & B hours for Registry is awarded through CAPCE This program plus ACLS* meets your Section 1 A&B hours. Remember you will need an additional 24 hours for Section 2 PA providers need to fill out a “Con-ed by endorsement form” YOU submit to your region VA – must sign a separate roster each day!

Please remember This is an educational program meant to meet the requirements set forth by Dept of Transportation. The topics/hours have been chosen to meet the reregistration requirements. As a participant of the program, we expect you to respect the faculty, coordinators and fellow participants by participating in the lectures and by not causing disruptions or distractions. (i.e. no sleeping is permitted, no newspapers, no laptops unless taking notes, no movies, limit the talking, etc)
