That the Lord would bless La Fe with a culture of reconciliation, edification, genuine love and brotherhood, forgiveness, and grace. That the church would be willing, through the power of the Spirit, to be molded by the Lord as HE sees fit and specifically, for the pastors and their wives as they take the next 8+ weeks to go through a process that involves, actively learning about reconciliation, and a time of rest from ministry responsibilities. That when the pastors finish this process, that the decisions made would be full of grace, forgiveness, mercy, and humility!

Let it be said of us that the Lord was our passion, That with gladness we bore ev'ry cross we were given,
44
That we fought the good fight, that we finished the course, Knowing within us the pow'r of the risen Lord.
45
Let the cross be our glory And the Lord be our song, By mercy made holy, By the Spirit made strong

'Til the likeness of Jesus Be through us made known
'Til the likeness of Jesus Be through us made known. Let the cross be our glory And the Lord be our song.
47
Let it be said of us: We were marked by forgiveness, We were known by our love and delighted in meekness,
48
We were ruled by His peace, heeding unity's call, Joined as one body that Christ would be seen by all.
49
Let the cross be our glory And the Lord be our song, By mercy made holy, By the Spirit made strong

1 John 5:1-5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
53
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.
54
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
55
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.
56
Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son
of God? 1 John 5:1-5

Five Vital Signs of Assurance
My own belief in Christ v.1a
64
1 John 2:20-23 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
65
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
66
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
67
Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
68
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him..
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him..
69
John 6:65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

Five Vital Signs of Assurance
My own belief in Christ v.1a My love for others who believe v.1b
71
1 John 2:10-11 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness …
72
1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.
73
1 John 4:20-21 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. .
74
Five Vital Signs of Assurance
My own belief in Christ v.1a My love for others who believe v.1b My obedience to commands v.2b-3a
75
1 John 3:4-9 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous..
76
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

Five Vital Signs of Assurance
My own belief in Christ v.1a My love for others who believe v.1b My obedience to commands v.2b-3a My attitude to commands v.3b
78
1 John 2:3-5 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:
79
I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
Psalm 119:16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
80
Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
81
Psalm 119:34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.
82
Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.
Psalm 119:54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.
83
Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation
Psalm 119:97 Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.

Five Vital Signs of Assurance
My own belief in Christ v.1a My love for others who believe v.1b My obedience to commands v.2b-3a My attitude to commands v.3b Overcomes the world v.4-5
85
1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
86
1 John 4:4-6 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
