PeopleFirst (state’s 3rd party administrator) sends materials by mail to eligible Postdoc Associates
May include spouse and children as dependents
Costs for state health plans:
Individual coverage $25 bi-weekly
Family coverage $90 bi-weekly

New hires
60 days from hire date to enroll in benefits
Coverage start dates
State health & supplemental plans –typically effective on the 1st of the month following full month’s premium collection
UFSelect & GatorCare plans – retroactive to hire date after enrollment

In addition to your new hire enrollment period, you may also make changes to your benefits elections:
Within 60 days of a qualifying status change event such as marriage, birth, loss of other group insurance
During the annual open enrollment (OE) period
This year’s OE period is from October 15 through November 2, 2018
Note: Coverage elections made during OE will be effective January 1st
