1. Denial Stage: “I don’t believe this is happening to me.” “The doctor must be wrong – I need another opinion.”

Anger Stage: “Why is this happening to me?” I don’t deserve this!”
“You have no idea how to help me.” “ I hate the idea of being alone.”

Bargaining: 1. “God please let me live through this and I will be a better person.” “I promise if I survive this treatment I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to helping others.”

Depression: “I just want to be left alone – no one can help me”
“ I just want to die – it is useless to continue with treatment. “There is no hope left for me.”

Acceptance: “I want to plan my funeral.” “I have lived a good life.”
