I have a deep love for finding creative ways to solve problems.

3 Experience Assurant Field Services: I saved 165+ hours of onshore labor, allowing reorganization of trained employees instead of acquiring new hires. I saved time by moving 65 reporting processes offshore. When initially presented with the challenge of transitioning so many processes to offshore employees, I wasn’t sure if 45 days was enough time. After sitting down to collect all the relevant data, I found that it would be a tight timeline. It was still possible to complete on time though, so I got to work with a training plan. I ensured that the new offshore employees would have enough training and practice sessions depending on the difficulty of the process. When possible, I created macros or had others make macros to simplify reports even further. After a busy month and a half, I was happily able to present the list of fully trained processes to my upper management. At this point, I had collected over 165 hours of onshore work (per week) and redirected it to offshore employees. This left the onshore team with lots of flexibility. Some employees adopted new challenging clients that needed more experienced workers, and some moved to other teams that required assistance. Due to these employees being well versed in the companies structure, reassigning the work they did was a smooth transition and ultimately saved time and money for the company. Software Experience:

4 Projects In 2014, I built my own 200 sq. ft. tiny home for approximately $24,000 in only 8 months. Learn more on my website! Once I decided to build my tiny house, nothing was going to stop me. I became consumed with all the ways you can organize inside small spaces. I then began my 8-month excursion of getting rid of material things. I soon turned my focus to learning more about the building process. At the beginning of each step, I would learn the basics. Be it roofing, siding, sealing the wood, window types or insulation. Without any time to spare, I’d start working on these next steps just days after learning about it. I discovered how to research products for high quality and reasonable prices. Finding discount items resolved many financial constraints. A great example of this is when I went to the nearby home improvement store for an estimate on windows. I was shocked to see how much my estimate was! Admittedly, it was for a total of ten windows. I decided to look for other options, including used windows. I quickly learned the dangers of installing used windows, the quality is so low, and they are likely to be damaged. When that idea was crossed out, I had to find other locations to give me estimates on very specific windows. After contacting multiple businesses, and driving into downtown Austin, I was able to find a place that fit my needs. I saved nearly two thousand dollars by spending some extra time in this search. Managing the stages of a project was new to me, but very valuable. One of the first steps was listing the supplies and expected cost, then sorting them by the phase of the build. That gave me an idea of the general cost per phase as well as the overall price of the whole project. Tracking this taught me how to make smooth transitions when interruptions occurred. This project gave me a challenge like never before and taught me how to best direct my drive and manage big projects.

5 Projects Once I taught myself how to build a website, I started The Whimsy Reader! I collect quirky activities to show people the amazing things they can accomplish with a little practice. I love to teach others how to do things like headstands and acrobatic yoga! Acrobatic yoga, or acroyoga for short, is a form of partner yoga where you balance on a person’s hands and feet. Though I am still no expert of acroyoga, I have taught many friends. They all fell in love with the challenging, but quickly rewarding moves in this form of yoga. Once I learned about this activity, I knew I had to begin my hunt for more practices like this. This was the beginning of The Whimsy Reader and I’ve been on my search ever since.
