Press Release Emily Beaty, owner of Emily Beaty Events, is set to open her new company in June Her business will specifically cater to DIY brides with competitive pricing for consulting packages, as well as full-service and day-of packages. Emily Beaty, owner and head wedding planner of Emily Beaty Events, is celebrating the inauguration of her new wedding planning business by hosting an event at the Maymont Estate in Richmond. Emily Beaty Events is a new wedding planning business opening up in Richmond Virginia. Emily believes that she can offer DIY brides professional services without robbing them of the joy of planning their own weddings. She says, "Although weddings can be overwhelming, there is a certain pride that comes at the end when you have done all that work and it turns out well." Our guest speaker, Nina Whittleton, will be discussing wedding rental tips, and how brides can show appreciation for their vendors. Nina has been president of Classic Party Rentals for sixteen years and possesses a wealth of information regarding the practical sides of weddings and events. She will be available after the talk to hand out business cards and answer questions. "DIY brides are completely neglected portion of the wedding planner's market. These women do not need much assistance, but they could definitely benefit from a little experienced advice, and wedding planners make excellent sounding boards." Emily Beaty Events gladly welcomes guests to the opening celebration. The event will be held at Maymont Estates from 1:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon on June 12, Raffle tickets for door prizes can be purchased for $5.00 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Richmond SPCA. Light hors d'oeuvre and appetizers will be provided by Groovin' Gourmets. The goal of Emily Beaty Events is to provide quality, professional, all-inclusive weddings to clients, particularly DIY brides, from the central Virginia area, but mainly from Richmond, Williamsburg, and anywhere in between. Emily started this business out of a love for weddings, and a desire to be involved in helping other brides achieve their fairytale dream wedding.

Required Essay The opening party for Emily Beaty Events will be a casual to semi formal, nautical themed event. Blue, silver, and tan accents combine to pull together the beach feel. Quiet instrumental music will be played throughout the afternoon. I will welcome my guests as they arrive to ensure that they all know my name and who I am. I will provide a sign-in sheet that requests addresses, so that I can send out thank-you cards after the event. I want Emily Beaty Events to help DIY brides, in particular, obtain a cohesive design that not only achieves their perfect wedding image, but also reflects the couple’s personality. By being friendly, and truly listening to the client, I hope to gain a reputation for being a bride’s best friend for the short time I am involved in their life. Weddings are one of the most important days in most people’s lives, and I would like to respect that by doing everything I can to make it truly the best day for everyone. After developing an invite list of vendors and venue owners, I sent out personalized invitations three weeks before the event. I want to start off my new business with a good foundation for future relationships. By encouraging them to be a part of this inauguration, I hope to show my fellow vendors that they are important to me. I know that I can learn immensely from them considering I am the new comer to the wedding world. I will also provide these guests with the option to gain free advertising through my website blog. As part of the sign-in sheet, they can choose whether they wish to be featured, or remain out of the spotlight. I will be doing a blog post covering the event in the following week.
