6 Piriformis Syndrome Caused by compression of the piriformis muscle on the sciatic nerve Causes numbness and tingling along nerve pathway 15-30% of population have nerve passing through piriformis, while others passes under it

Caused by repetitive stress Kicking Twisting Running Describe sharp burning pain and radiates to adductors Stretch hip flexors, ICE, cortisone injections, or surgical intervention
