Plan Ahead – Determine if college/scholarship requires one Consider asking people who know you in various capacities Provide writer 3 week window for writer to write letter If counselor is writing a recommendation, make appointment for interview 3 weeks prior to deadline Provide extra-curricular activities checklist (resume) to the writer Provide writer pertinent information about college/scholarship Be respectful of writer’s timeline Follow-up with a thank you to individual who wrote recommendation(s)

PLAN AHEAD All paper work and requests made to any teacher, counseling secretary, or counselor, allow 3 weeks turn around time to process

Senior Meetings All seniors will meet with their counselor before the end of 1st quarter. Meeting schedule will be posted outside the Counseling Office Students will receive additional information, complete a credit check, view 2nd semester requests, etc.
