2. Cling film is a single-use product that can't be recycled and doesnt decompose in landfill. It is the same with other plastics. They dont decompose in a land fill either. This is because it is waterproof and worms cant eat through and digest plastic.

3. Cling film is made of LDPE. First they made it out of PVC but it was harmful. LDPE does not contain toxic additives such as PVC does. The raw material in plastic wrap is actually crude oil. Kerosene is extracted from the oil and polyethylene is made from this.

4. Polyethylene starts off as a sugar looking form. Then it is melted at 200 to 300 degrees and turned into a liquid. The machine forces hot air into the plastic forming a bubble like a balloon. After that it then is flattened into a sheet of plastic wrap, rolled up and cut to the required size.
