Throughout the year children will experience the use of paints, drawing, printing and collage. They will study the work and style of some famous artists.

Children participate in singing, simple percussion and rhythm and pitch activities. They enjoy expressing and communicating ideas, thoughts and feelings through musical activities.

How Can You Help?
Encourage your child to read regularly and complete reading homework.
Regular practise of spelling and times tables.
Continue to support your child in using the taught strategies as they complete numeracy homework. (RUCSAC approach)
Encourage your child to be more independent.
Encourage your child to take time and care over their work.
Sign homework.
Day to day items:
Label all clothes and equipment including lunch boxes.
PE kits in on correct day. PE kits can remain in school and be sent home when required.
A note or phone call regarding any absence from school.
Provide a named clear plastic bottle for water.
Check diaries and bags each evening.
